Fundraising

Fundraising is an important part of scouting.  The funds we raise during key fundraising events allow us to purchase equipment, subsidize trips and activities and keep the program running.  We have several key fundraising events throughout the year including:


Apple Day – Beavers, Cubs and Scouts along with parents for supervision descend upon Snug Cove and provide their fellow Bowen Islanders with free BC apples while letting the  people know that they can collect any donations they may wish to offer.  



Christmas Tree Sales - Traditionally held at a vacant lot just north of the Park Royal North parkade on Taylor Way in West Vancouver, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts along with a parent will assist in the sale of Christmas trees to the public as well as restocking and loading assistance.  If you have been granted access to the electronic signup sheet, you can access it HERE.  For editing access please contact Leslie Blais.  For 2013 we will also be selling Christmas Trees at the Bowen Island Craft Fair December 1st at BICS!  Get your tree from Bowen Scouts and show your support!


Donations and Grants

All non profit organizations are dependant upon the generosity of others and available grants. Bowen Island Municipality offers funds available to non-profit organizations in the spring and fall and we are grateful for their generosity.

If you or your organization would like to donate to Bowen Island Scouting, please contact us.  We are happy to accept donations of cash, equipment, or volunteers.
