Edge Climbing and Swimming!

We are going to try and combine two activities into one day!On Monday March 24th, we would like to plan a trip to The Edge climbing centre and then go for some swimming at the West Van Rec Centre. A bus would be chartered (if there is enough interest) and leave Bowen at 9:30am returning on the 4:30pm.Cost would be $30 per person. A great deal for the entire day! Youth are asked to bring their own lunch and snack.Deadline to sing up is THURSDAY MARCH 20TH.

16th West Vancouver Bowen Island Scouting Groups will be holding our Annual General Meeting on Monday March 10th, 2014 at 6:15pm at Bowen Island Community School, Multipurpose Room. All are welcome to attend. 

Have You Purchased Your Christmas Tree?

It is that time of year again, when we start to think about the family Christmas tree and the first thing that comes to mind is the Scout Christmas tree sale at the BICS Craft Fair on Sunday December 1st!Selling Christmas trees is the Scouts biggest fundraiser of the year and we need your help to spread the word!  If you are in the market for a Christmas tree, show your support by purchasing one from Scouts or if you have an opportunity to help sell trees we could use your help at the BICS craft fair!  Contact Leslie for more info!We will also be selling trees in West Vancouver near Park Royal. The lot is located at the bottom of Taylor Way and Clyde Avenue across from the NorthEast Park Royal parking garage.Local Kids: Local Trees! It starts with Scouts … tomorrow’s leaders.

IRLY Building Centre Donates to Bowen Scouting!

On Saturday Oct 26th our Scouting groups were presented a generous donation from IRLY Building Centre. IRLY has an annual golf tournament each year raising funds and donating to local Bowen Island organizations. This year we were fortunate to receive a cheque for $500. Coinciding with the Dad & Me pumpkin carving, our Cubs and Scouts had a great time carving up some frightful pumpkins.

Cub Meeting Change

To accommodate the visit of the 3rd West Vancouver Scouts, our Wednesday meeting has been changed to Monday June 4th. We will start at our regular meeting time, 6:30pm at the school. From there the Pack will walk down to the ferry to greet other cubs from the 3rd WV group. This is a great way for our Cubs to meet other Cubs and a meet and greet for those going to Camp Byng. Pick up time will be 8pm at Crippen Park.

2012 Year-End Potluck Dinner Party!

WHEN: Wednesday June 13th, 2012 WHERE: Royal Canadian Legion , 1266 Scarborough Rd TIME: 6 pm – 8 pm Hello everyone, As some of you may know we are planning a Year-End Pot Luck Dinner on Wednesday June 13th.
