The Beavers represented Bowen Island and joined the larger Scouting community to celebrate 100 years of Scouting at the 2011 Torchlight Parade at Lower Lonsdale Saturday evening. The parade began at the cenotaph at Victoria Park and marched down Lonsdale to Ship Builder’s Square where Beavers were treated to a campfire, sing along, s’mores, hot chocolate, lots of crafts and much more! The weather was fantastic and congratulations to our friend Bubbles for a fine opening ceremony speech. There were many food donations dropped off to support local charities.
