Frequently Asked Questions:
Why Does MEC Do this?
As a cooperative founded on strong values, MEC believes in supporting organizations such as Scouting as we help youth to develop a great love for the outdoors. Many staff are former scouts!
How does the Discount work?
 Scouts will receiveÂ
10% off of all items purchased that evening – andÂ
5% off bikes and boats! All items must be in stock and purchased through our tills that evening in order to be eligible for the discount. So this means that we cannot offer the discount on items that must be ordered in, or that members wish to purchase online.
All participants must be members of Mountain Equipment Coop in order to make a purchase. If they are not yet members, they are welcome to sign up and purchase a membership ($5) that evening.
Â
Parking & Getting there?
We have rooftop parking at $1.50 for one hour. We’re also only a 5-minute stroll from the Broadway Canada Line Station and highly accessible by bike or bus.
Â
Dress Code? – Clean pressed uniform or slick looking logowear!
