Scouts Hollyburn Cabin Event

Event:                Two Night  Camp – Scouts (cubs information to follow)

Location:        Scout Cabin on Hollyburn Ridge

Date:                Friday,  January 31 to Sunday February 2

Departure:        we will meet at the east end of the Cross Country Ski Parking Lot on Hollyburn Ridge at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, February 1.

Return:        we will return to the Cross Country Ski Parking Lot 11am on Sunday February 2.

Parent Participation:    parents are invited to participate in this event.

Travel:        there is a hike of about 1 1/2 kilometres into the cabin.  Scouts and parents will require a backpack as they have to carry their own personal equipment into the Cabin.    Suitcases, garbage bags and other hand carried baggage are not options.  Also required is a headlamp or flashlight with spare batteries. We will be walking in to the cabin in the dark.

Equipment:        a list of suggested equipment for Scouts and parents is enclosed with this bulletin.   The Scouts will likely spend a lot of time playing in the snow, so warm clothes and several changes of socks and mitts are recommended.

Cost:                $25.00 for each participant.

Registration:        please RSVP by email or phone and inform us if you plan to attend with your child. Also indicate if you are driving and able to drop off or pick up any other Scouts. Camp fees can be submitted prior to departure or at the cabin.  Cheques should be payable to 16th West Vancouver Scouts

Questions:        please direct any questions about the weekend to Leslie Blais by e-mail to Leslie (leslie@leslieblais.com) or by phone at  778-788-8475
